PixCraft Terms of Use

Read the terms for using PixCraft’s free browser-based Minecraft skin editor, optional AI image conversion, local drafts, and downloadable PNG files.

Last updated: 2026-07-23

These Terms of Use govern your access to skineditorminecraft.com and the PixCraft Minecraft skin editor. They explain the rules for manual editing, local PNG files, browser autosave, optional AI image conversion, generated results, and use of the PixCraft website.

Please read these Terms together with the PixCraft Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service.

Terms summary

  • The current public editor is free and does not require an account.
  • You keep the rights you already have in original content you create.
  • You must have permission to use every skin or reference image you import or submit.
  • Manual editing and regular PNG import stay in your browser; AI generation uses an external provider.
  • AI results must be reviewed and may not be unique, accurate, or free of third-party rights.
  • Local autosave is a convenience, not a permanent backup.
  • Do not attack, scrape, overload, bypass, or misuse the service.
  • PixCraft is independent from Mojang and Microsoft.

This summary is provided for convenience. The complete Terms below control if there is any difference.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing or using PixCraft, you agree to these Terms. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.

You must be legally able to accept these Terms where you live. If you are not old enough to agree on your own, use PixCraft only with permission and active supervision from a parent or legal guardian. A parent or guardian who permits use is responsible for supervising that use.

You may use the current public editor without creating an account. If accounts or paid services are introduced, additional terms may apply and will be presented before you use those features.

2. What PixCraft provides

PixCraft currently provides:

  • browser-based pixel editing for 64×64 Minecraft skins;
  • Classic and Slim model selection;
  • base-layer and overlay-layer controls;
  • regular PNG import processed in the browser;
  • live 3D preview;
  • local browser autosave;
  • PNG generation and download; and
  • optional AI-assisted conversion of a reference image into editable skin candidates.

The manual editor is designed to work without an account or payment. The optional AI feature requires a network connection, server processing, and a configured third-party AI provider.

PixCraft may add, remove, limit, redesign, suspend, or discontinue a feature. We do not guarantee compatibility with every browser, device, accessibility setup, Minecraft edition, game version, server, launcher, account, mod, or third-party skin platform.

The current public service is free. PixCraft will not charge you for a future paid feature without clearly presenting the price and obtaining the agreement required for that transaction.

3. Permission to use the service

Subject to these Terms, PixCraft grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to access and use the public editor for lawful personal, creative, educational, or commercial skin-design work.

This permission does not transfer ownership of the PixCraft website, source code, interface, brand, copy, project artwork, or other service materials. Except where open-source licenses or applicable law allow it, you may not copy, resell, sublicense, frame, mirror, or commercially exploit the service itself.

You may inspect and use downloaded skin files subject to the rights in the source material, the AI provider's applicable terms, Minecraft-related rules, and other laws that apply to your use.

4. Your content, files, and permissions

“Your Content” means a skin, pixel design, reference image, prompt-derived result, feedback, or other material you provide to or create with the service.

As between you and PixCraft, you retain the rights you already hold in Your Content. PixCraft does not claim ownership of an original skin merely because you edit or download it with the service.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights, licenses, permissions, and consents needed to:

  • import or edit a skin;
  • submit a reference image for AI processing;
  • use a person's face, likeness, clothing design, or other identifying detail;
  • reproduce a character, logo, artwork, texture, or trademark;
  • download, publish, sell, distribute, or share the result; and
  • comply with platform, server, community, employment, school, or contractual rules that apply to you.

When you request AI generation, you grant PixCraft and the necessary service providers a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide permission to receive, validate, transmit, transform, and return the submitted reference and generated results only to provide, secure, and troubleshoot the requested feature. This permission does not give PixCraft the right to sell your reference image or publish it in a gallery.

Do not submit content that is confidential, unlawfully obtained, subject to a duty you cannot satisfy, or likely to cause harm if disclosed.

5. Optional AI feature terms

The AI feature is optional. Manual painting, regular PNG import, local preview, autosave, and download can be used without sending a reference image to the AI provider.

When you choose Generate skin, the browser-prepared reference is sent through PixCraft to a third-party AI provider. AI systems are probabilistic, so a result may:

  • misunderstand or omit visible details;
  • introduce colors, shapes, or features you did not request;
  • resemble content generated for another user;
  • contain defects or invalid texture placement;
  • be unavailable, delayed, or rejected; or
  • require manual editing before it is suitable for use.

You must review the final 64×64 texture and 3D preview before downloading, sharing, publishing, or relying on it. PixCraft does not guarantee that an AI result is unique, accurate, non-infringing, commercially usable, or accepted by a particular platform.

To the extent allowed by applicable law and the provider's terms, PixCraft does not claim ownership of an AI result returned to you. The legal status of AI-generated material can vary by country and by the human contribution involved. You are responsible for deciding whether and how a result may be used.

Do not use the AI feature with sensitive, intimate, exploitative, unlawful, or non-consensual images. Do not submit a child's image without appropriate parental or guardian permission and supervision.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use PixCraft to:

  • violate a law, court order, contractual restriction, or another person's rights;
  • create or distribute content that is exploitative, abusive, threatening, harassing, deceptive, defamatory, privacy-invasive, or unlawfully discriminatory;
  • sexualize or exploit a minor, or process illegal imagery involving a minor;
  • impersonate another person or falsely claim affiliation with PixCraft, Mojang, Microsoft, or any other organization;
  • upload malware, malicious code, corrupted payloads, or content designed to attack a model or system;
  • probe, scan, or test a system without authorization;
  • bypass authentication, same-origin checks, request limits, security controls, or access restrictions;
  • overload the service, coordinate abusive traffic, or use bots and automation at a rate that harms availability;
  • scrape, harvest, or collect personal information from the service or its users;
  • reverse engineer or extract protected source code except where applicable law expressly permits it;
  • interfere with another person's use of PixCraft; or
  • use generated output as proof of identity, authenticity, endorsement, or a real-world event.

Reasonable browser use, accessibility tools, search-engine crawling that follows published crawler rules, and ordinary personal automation that does not burden or evade the service are not prohibited by this section.

PixCraft may reject a request, apply rate limits, block network access, or suspend a feature when reasonably necessary to protect users, providers, or the service.

7. Local drafts, browser storage, and downloads

Local autosave is provided as a convenience and is not a guaranteed backup or cloud-storage service. A draft may be lost because of browser cleanup, private browsing, storage quotas, profile changes, device loss, software errors, unsupported data, or product changes.

Download important versions and inspect the exported PNG before relying on it. You are responsible for:

  • maintaining backups you need;
  • protecting access to your device and browser profile;
  • checking that an export has the expected model, layers, transparency, and dimensions; and
  • managing files after they are downloaded, uploaded elsewhere, or shared.

The Clear draft control attempts to remove the saved browser draft from the available browser stores but does not erase the canvas currently open in memory. See the Privacy Policy for details about local storage and the optional AI data flow.

PixCraft respects intellectual property, privacy, publicity, and other legal rights. Do not import, generate, publish, or distribute material unless your use is authorized by the rights holder or otherwise permitted by law.

If you believe material made available by PixCraft itself infringes your rights, email support@skineditorminecraft.com with:

  • your name and contact information;
  • a description of the protected work or right;
  • the exact PixCraft URL or feature involved;
  • an explanation of the claimed infringement;
  • a statement that the information you provide is accurate; and
  • any other information reasonably needed to evaluate the request.

Because the current editor does not host a public user gallery, PixCraft usually cannot remove a skin that exists only on another person's device or on an unrelated third-party platform.

9. Third-party services and links

PixCraft may rely on hosting, network, security, email, open-source software, and AI providers. Third-party services are governed by their own terms, licenses, availability, and privacy practices. PixCraft is not responsible for a third party's independent service or for content on an external link.

Your use of Minecraft, a Minecraft account, a game server, launcher, marketplace, social network, or other skin platform is governed by the applicable third party. PixCraft does not control whether those services accept a particular file or design.

10. PixCraft and Minecraft intellectual property

The original PixCraft interface, brand, copy, project-owned artwork, and non-open-source service materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party libraries and assets remain subject to their respective licenses.

PIXCRAFT IS NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT. IT IS NOT APPROVED BY, SPONSORED BY, OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT. Minecraft and related names, marks, and rights belong to their respective owners. Descriptive use of the Minecraft name does not imply endorsement or partnership.

If you send product suggestions or general feedback, you permit PixCraft to use that feedback without restriction or payment, but this does not transfer ownership of an attached skin or private reference image.

11. Privacy

The PixCraft Privacy Policy explains which features stay local, what is sent for optional AI generation, how browser storage works, and what privacy choices are available. By using the service, you acknowledge that data will be handled as described in that Policy.

12. Service availability, changes, and enforcement

PixCraft may be unavailable because of maintenance, provider outages, security incidents, capacity limits, network conditions, or other events. We do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent retention of a local draft, or continued availability of any particular feature.

We may limit or block access when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated, a request threatens the service or another person, a provider requires action, or the law requires it. Where practical, enforcement will be proportionate to the issue.

You can stop using PixCraft at any time. Because the current public editor has no user account, there may be no account record for us to close.

13. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PixCraft is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not make warranties that:

  • the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available in every location;
  • a local draft will always be restored;
  • an AI result will be accurate, unique, lawful, or fit for a particular purpose;
  • a generated or edited skin will work with every external platform; or
  • defects will always be corrected.

You use the service and downloaded files at your own discretion and risk. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, remedy, consumer right, or responsibility that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PixCraft and its operator, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or for loss of data, opportunity, revenue, reputation, or expected savings arising from use of or inability to use the service.

Any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded or limited remains in effect to the extent required by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so part of this section may not apply to you.

You remain responsible for your content, your permissions, your backups, your device security, and the way you use or distribute an output.

15. Disputes and general terms

Before starting a formal dispute, please contact support@skineditorminecraft.com and provide enough information for the issue to be reviewed. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking urgent relief or using a consumer or regulatory process available under applicable law.

These Terms are governed by applicable law and will be handled by a court or forum with lawful jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.

If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement for the current public service unless a feature presents additional terms.

16. Changes to these Terms and contact

PixCraft may update these Terms when the service, providers, risk controls, or applicable requirements change. The Last updated date identifies the current version. If a change materially affects an existing feature, we may provide an additional notice where reasonably practical.
